Security Guard

Location: Garden Grove, CA

Employment Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Summary: Patrols campus, being observant to assist with problems, emergencies, questions, and directions, and provide information with a caring and reassuring demeanor. Ensures the safety, security and well being of the Crystal Cathedral campus, all employees, volunteers, visitors and school children.  Displays a positive attitude of flexibility and care.

• Duties and Responsibilities:
• Follows policies and procedures set in place by the management of the Ministry.
• Able to work any shift and/or overtime as required.
• Demonstrates a warm, positive attitude when dealing with visitors, employees and school children.
• Patrols campus on foot/vehicle consistent with the policies and procedures.
• Locks/unlocks doors following a time table or as directed.
• Fire procedures – assists with the evacuation, note location of the fire and operate fire hoses and extinguishers.
• Investigates and documents observed and reported incidents that occur on campus.
• Helps provide a safe and secure environment for school children, visitors and employees while they are on the Crystal Cathedral campus.

• Education/Experience:
• High School Diploma preferred
• Previous security experience preferred, but not required

• Abilities/Skills:
• Must be able to react calmly in emergency and pressure situations
• Must have excellent human relation skills
• Must have knowledge of computer operation, including Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Must have ability to complete comprehensive, detailed and professional oral and written reports
• Demonstrates flexibility with all areas of the Ministry while working varied situations
