Preschool Teacher

Location: Rancho Capistrano (San Juan Capistrano, CA)

Employment Status: Full-time

Summary: The teacher shall prayerfully introduce a quality education that allows each child the opportunity to develop and explore to their full potential, in order to contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible persons.

• Duties and Responsibilities:
• Integrate Bible lessons throughout the curriculum and activities
• Maintain proper discipline throughout the day to ensure a good learning environment
• Maintain a clean, attractive, well-ordered classroom
• Plan and implement monthly lessons to achieve objectives and goals
• Meet individual needs, interests and abilities. Challenge students to do their best.
• Employ a variety of methods and materials to engage students and reach all areas of growth and development (spirit, mind, body and emotions)
• Assess student progress and provide reports as required
• Attend staff devotions, meeting, in-service training and school functions

• Education/Experience:
• High school diploma
• Must have 12 Early Childhood Education units as required by the State licensing authority
• Must be committed to spiritual and professional growth (IECE workshop per year)

• Abilities/Skills:
• Establish positive relationships with staff, parents and students
• Must have a clear understanding of child development
• Must demonstrate the qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, kindness, gratitude, self-control, perseverance and punctuality
• Must face every day with emotional stability, objectivity and optimism
• Promote good public relations and represent the school in a favorable manner
• Must have a love for children
