Director of Facilities
Location: Rancho Capistrano (San Juan Capistrano, CA)
Employment Status: Full Time
Summary: This position is responsible for providing quality housekeeping, event set-up and repair maintenance services for guests and campus ministries. The incumbent will develop systems to meet ministry and hospitality industry standards. Establish consistent and accurate communication systems and integrate our Spiritual Oasis Guest program into daily operation.
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilities (Event Set-up)
- Directs the Facilities Manager to ensure the event set-up needs of guests and campus ministries are met.
- Reviews the efficiency of coordinating time frames with staff schedules.
- Manages storage facilities to ensure proper storage of all set-up equipment to avoid unnecessary replacement costs.
- Housekeeping
- Creates and manages work schedules for housekeeping staff.
- Create and implement a process for managing housekeeping supply inventory and equipment.
- Maintain vendor relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal vendor performance. Work with Food Services Administrator to build relationships with new or additional vendors.
- Create, implement and manage staff efficiency standards, including quality assurance reviews.
- Train staff
- Hold weekly staff meetings
- Repair and Maintenance
- Review and approve relevant work orders for conference and campus wide facilities
- Prioritize requests by safety and budgetary criteria.
- Create, implement and manage a yearly, quarterly and monthly time schedule for on going maintenance projects for all facilities.
- Spiritual Oasis Guest Services Program
- Have a working knowledge of the Spiritual Oasis Guest Services Program. Create and implement procedures in housekeeping, set-up and repair and maintenance to meet the goals of this program.
- Preform MOD duties as requested.
- Communication
- Create, implement and manage a communication system for each facility department to achieve optimum customer service.
- Direct Housekeeping and Set-Up to respond appropriately to the Guest Comment Cards and the Manager of the Day (MOD) Reports
- Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5 years managerial experience in the hospitality industry
- Abilities/Skills:
- Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Possess strong managerial skills with a professional demeanor and appearance
- Lead by example demonstrating team spirit and the ability to work with others forming partnerships to achieve common goals, thus building strong teams
- Perceptive ability to access needs of the facility and respond timely
- Excellent computer skills
