Bookstore Sales Clerk
Location: Garden Grove, CA
Employment Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Summary: This position is responsible for providing friendly and courteous customer assistance; cashier, stocking and keeping the Bookstore neat and tidy.
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answering the phone by the third ring
- Greet each customer with a smile and a verbal greeting.
- Offer assistance to customers and maintain an awareness of their needs
- Perform all Bookstore cashier procedures
- Open/close/balance assigned cash register each day
- Keep a neat and organized cash drawer
- Tidy, clean and dust, keeping the store at its best
- Stock shelves as needed
- Be a Team player to complete opening and closing duties every day.
- Taking orders over the phone and prepare for shipping.
- Complete various projects as assigned
- Education/Experience:
- No experience required
- Retail/cash handling experience is helpful.
- Abilities/Skills:
- Must be cheerful and have a positive disposition, good people skills and be a team player.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Wear proper attire/assigned apron when reporting to work.
- Candidate must be able to adapt to change and exemplify a Christ-like attitude.
