Bookstore Sales Clerk

Location: Garden Grove, CA

Employment Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Summary: This position is responsible for providing friendly and courteous customer assistance; cashier, stocking and keeping the Bookstore neat and tidy.

  • Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Answering the phone by the third ring
  • Greet each customer with a smile and a verbal greeting.
  • Offer assistance to customers and maintain an awareness of their needs
  • Perform all Bookstore cashier procedures
  • Open/close/balance assigned cash register each day
  • Keep a neat and organized cash drawer
  • Tidy, clean and dust, keeping the store at its best
  • Stock shelves as needed
  • Be a Team player to complete opening and closing duties every day.
  • Taking orders over the phone and prepare for shipping.
  • Complete various projects as assigned

  • Education/Experience:
  • No experience required
  • Retail/cash handling experience is helpful.

  • Abilities/Skills:
  • Must be cheerful and have a positive disposition, good people skills and be a team player.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Wear proper attire/assigned apron when reporting to work. 
  • Candidate must be able to adapt to change and exemplify a Christ-like attitude.
